Surely you have packed your suitcase for vacation before and learned a thing or two on your own but who couldn't use a few little reminders + tricks to implement while packing?!
We've gathered just a few fun, generally useful tips to share below:
1) Avoid Over Packing.
Easier said than done for most. The easiest way to pack simply is to pick versatile outfits that can potentially be mixed + matched. Versatility is key. Not sure where to start? Come see us at AMaVo and get a few of your favorite pieces styled more than one way!
2) Wear Your Layers.
Your airplane travel attire should include your bulkiest layer. While you may be headed somewhere warm, a cardigan or denim jacket is always a must have. We suggest wearing that layer onto the plane (instead of packing it) to save space in your suitcase! Plus, those extra pockets are always a plus while on the go.
3) Roll, Don't Fold.
This is a pro move. It's been proven that you will save space (and wrinkles) if you simply roll your clothing instead of folding into compact squares. Better yet, do you already know which outfit you'll be changing into when you arrive to your destination? Put that outfit on top for less wrinkles + easier access.
4) Refresh Your Purse.
When was the last time you cleaned out your purse?! Most airlines allow for a "personal bag" free of charge to have with you while on the flight and you don't need to take up space in that bag with items that you only use while at work or home. Unpack your gloves and work related items and replace those with a few other vacation essentials: chapstick, rollerball perfume, compact wallet, devotional/book, etc.
