The Radiant Life Blog

Adventure. Inspiration. Marriage. Motherhood. Style. These are all topics explored by bloggers Kendall + Kelsey of The Radiant Life Blog. They approach life with faith-based, fun-seeking attitudes that truly characterize an AMaVo gal. That said, we couldn't be more thrilled to announce that our latest collaboration is with these lovely, fashionable ladies.

We want our AMaVo community to get to know these two, so played a little game of Q&A...In our interview, we talk about challenges, sources of inspiration, role models and so much more.

Q&A

Q: Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
A: Hey friends!  We are Kendall& Kelsey and we blog over at The Radiant Life.  We started this blog out of a love for writing and sharing our heart with women.  We value transparency & encouragement more than you can imagine and are all about using these values to empower women into walking more full, free, and joyful lives.
Q: How did you get into blogging?
A: We each blogged separately for about two years before collaborating on The Radiant Life.  We are both so passionate about writing and women walking in freedom.  We started dreaming up the idea of collaborating late last year and finally made it happen this past February.  It has been a dream getting to do this together.
Q: How do you feel being young women of faith in today’s society?
A: We love it!  It is so cool to get to write about things we love and share Jesus's heart for it laced throughout every topic of interest to us.  We simply stay true to ourselves and don't worry about it if people don't like what we are about. We know that Jesus is so multi-dimensional and can shine through topics on fashion, beauty, and adventure just as much through a church sermon.  It is cool to be able to impact people who may not hear about God in another capacity of their life. Maybe they are simply following us because of fun pictures and get to encounter God at the same time!
Q: What has been the most challenging moment(s) in your blogging experiences?
A: It may not be a moment, but more of the concept of balance.  We both work full-time aside from the blog and people weren't kidding when they said it takes 10,000 hours to make a dream happen.  There are a lot of late nights and "one more second" phrases said to our husbands as we try to finish up that "last thing."  We are getting to a point where we have a better system of time management down, but there is always something new to learn!
Q: What would you say is the greatest satisfaction of being bloggers?
A: The greatest satisfaction is when we get that email or that comment that expresses how impactful a certain post was.  Even if this was all for one person, it is worth it.
Q: What inspires you for blog material?
A: We are constantly reading!  It is amazing how an inspirational book by our favorite authors Shauna Niequist, Brene Brown, or Anne Lamott can spark an idea in our brain that leads into an entire post of writing!
Q: Who are you trying to reach with your blog?
A: We are trying to reach every type of woman.  We don't want this to cater to a certain demographic.  We want every woman to walk away from this feeling more empowered to live a life of freedom, joy, hope, and fullness!
Q: What do you think your blog offers to your readers?
A: We offer hope.  We offer honesty.  We offer transparency about topics and struggles that every single woman encounters in some way or another.  We may not all have the same life-experiences but we can still relate.  We want women to walk away feeling encouraged and knowing they are not alone in this journey of life.
Q: How is collaborating on the blog with each other?
A: We love collaborating with each other.  There truly is no one else in the world we would rather be doing this with. It definitely takes intentionality and compromise to share something that is "your baby" together.  We constantly stay intentional with balancing work/life, practicing healthy communication, and taking time to just have "fun" days together.
Q: Who are your role models?
A: Shauna Niequist, Brene Brown, Anne Lammott
Q: Describe your style in three words:
A: bohemian, fun, free-spirited
