God Chooses the Unlikely

Hello AMaVo loves!
I want to speak to your heart today....like really get in there!

Have you ever felt like you weren't good enough for God to use? You just can't get past all the crud from your life. You've failed too many times. You're not smart enough. You have a disability. You're too old or too young. You don't have enough money. You've sinned one too many times. God just doesn't SEE you and He certainly doesn't want to use you for His kingdom.  Am I on to something?

Listen, we've all been there!   Many times!   Myself included.  I've struggled with this negative self-talk over and over again.    I believe the enemy tries to stop God's plans by planting seeds of self-doubt in our minds.  Here's a great example, and so interesting that I get to use it today.   I wrote this blog for you all last night.  Yep, I left my cozy home and family to go sit at Starbucks so the words could come from my heart and not come from a place of kids running around, dishes needing to be washed, laundry needing to get folded, and overall chaos!  Can anyone else relate?!

Guess what happened......this morning we went in to make sure everything looked good and there was no blog!   No joke...nothing saved.  And the words were SO good!  And I just sat here like, "I don't have time to rewrite this.  I can't come up with those words again.  I'm just going to forget it!  I'm JUST NOT CUT OUT FOR THIS. "    Yep, the enemy got in. See how easy that can happen?!   I saw this for what it was....and I went back to the devotional that I was going to share with you all in my blog post from last night......those words are sealed in my heart and I'm forever grateful for them.   So I want to share it with you.  It's from Joyce Meyer, whom I so admire and respect.   The words are so encouraging and I pray that they speak to your heart as well.

The title of the devotional is "God Chooses the Unlikely"  (can you tell this is going to be good?!)

"God purposely chooses those who are the most unlikely candidates for the job.  By doing so, He has a wide-open door to show His grace, mercy, and power to change human lives.   When God uses someone like me or many others He is using, we realize that our source is not in ourselves but in Him alone:   "This is because the foolish thing that has its source in God is wiser than men, and the weak thing that springs from God is stronger than men."  (1 Corinthians 1:25)  Each of us has a destiny, and there is absolutely no excuse not to fulfill it.  We cannot use our weakness as an excuse, because God says that His strength is made perfect in weakness  (2 Corinthians 12:9)   We cannot use the past as an excuse, because God tells us through the apostle Paul that if any person is in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17)  How God sees us is not the problem.  It is how we see ourselves that keeps us from succeeding.  Each of us can succeed at being everything God intends us to be."

Can you imagine how much more those words ring true for me today?!   I'm just blown away by this entire experience.   Dear Sister in Christ, God has a great plan for YOU.   Don't ever let negative self-talk, doubt, or fear get in the way.   God created YOU.  He loves YOU.  He chose YOU to carry out His great work.....it's time to MOVE.   With the help of Christ, you can MOVE MOUNTAINS!    All you need to do is be still, believe, and let God work.  God moved my mountain today....and He will certainly move yours.

We'd love to hear from you now!   Do you struggle with the "unlikely" factor?  How has God used you and what is He working on in you now?   Any advice you can offer?  Take some time today to think of all the ways God wants to use you!

If you feel someone in your life needs to hear these words, please share this with them!
